LOOKING UP FARM
Looking Up Farm is a small private farm in beautiful southern Dutchess County, New York. We specialize in the equine senior, retired or semi - retired but all are welcome. We have naturally cared for manure free pastures with run-in shelters that have fans in the hot weather. We also have a stall with an attached paddock and a smaller barn stall for a pony or 1-2 minis. We have heated water and warm beet pulp added to meals during the cold months. All our meals are individualized and for our equine friends who cannot chew hay, we have a modified meal plan. This includes added beet pulp, corn oil, grain and menu items such as probiotics and an "equine salad bowl" for weight maintenance or weight gain. The hay is of the highest quality. All horses are fed and checked separately twice a day. Other areas of care like blanketing, medication administration, fly spraying and masks, etc. are usually included in the board. For our boarders who are still ridden, we have miles of beautiful trails and are close to Tymor Park Equestrian Center and Southern Dutchess Horseman's Association. The horse care is conscientious and consistent and we are recommended by Mid-Hudson Vet Practice. Looking Up Farm is also "pony and mini friendly" with our post and board fencing. All this for the reasonable board of $400 (plus sales tax) per month. We also have free range happy hens and ducks and sell their fresh, delicious, beautiful eggs.
